Who would have thought that one child, born into the world, would set up his promised kingdom, keep it going with fair dealing and right living…now and forever?
That is such a strange way to save the world. Yet…”the zeal of the God-of-the-Angel-Armies” has done all this. Almighty God’s overwhelming desire; His great enthusiasm to have a relationship with little ole you and me has done this. And we celebrate this as Christmas!
But more importantly, we can celebrate this salvation every day of our lives on earth and continuing on in heaven.
His names tell us why…
Amazing Counselor: our Wonderful Guide, Advocate and Teacher
Strong God: our Almighty, Supreme, Absolute, Invincible God
Eternal Father: our Never-ending, Illimitable, Indestructible Father
Prince of Wholeness: our Prince of Completeness, Entirety, Integrity
The very names of God’s Son reassures us that He is in control. He is running the world. He rules with authority. And He brings limitless wholeness…to you and me.
So as you approach the new year, you may do so…boldly…knowing Jesus, God’s Son, is everything we need…now and for all eternity.
