“Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything.”
Mark 11:22-23 MSG
These are Jesus’ words. Red-letter edition. Powerful. Important.
Matter-of-fact. Spoken to His disciples…and to me!
Do I really believe that nothing will be too much for me? Even when my sister is diagnosed with progressive dementia? Or my son has been making poor life choices? Or my financial picture looks pretty grim?
Or…or…or?
Or when life comes at me full-throttle, do I pray for absolutely everything, from small to large? Jesus urges me to embrace this God-life. No matter what. He knows what it is to suffer. He knows what it is to have heart aches for loved ones. He’s knows. That’s why He wants me to run to Him.
Not only does He know…but He is also the answer! He not only provides answers to prayer, He IS the answer. After all, Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6) That’s why He wants me to give this God-life all I’ve got, as He will never fail me. Not now. Not forever. By doing so, I get God’s everything.
That’s a win-win. Now. And forever.
