“I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.”

What are you absolutely convinced of? Well, the old saying goes, “There’s nothing certain except death and taxes.” However, there’s one very important thing that’s glaringly missing from that statement.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that he’s absolutely convinced that absolutely NOTHING can separate you from God’s love!
And he goes on to define what the “absolutely nothings” consist of….
“Nothing living or dead.” Okay, that’s pretty all-encompassing. Either something is living or dead. No other choices.
“Angelic or demonic.” In the unseen world all around us, there is the battle of good and evil being carried on, but that cannot interrupt God’s love for us!
“Today or tomorrow.” We are time creatures. We are either in this moment of now or the moment that hasn’t arrived yet, hence today or tomorrow. In the “todays”, fears may arise. In the “tomorrows”, worries take place. None of that can get in the way of God’s love for us!
“High or low.” No power in the sky and nothing on earth…nothing in all of creation…can separate us from the love of God.
“Thinkable or unthinkable.’ Anything that you can think of, plus, anything that you haven’t thought of, (which covers all realms of thinking), cannot come between you and God’s love.
So…absolutely NOTHING can break us off from God’s love!!! And why? Because of JESUS! He bridged the chasm between us, as sinners, and holy, righteous God, by being the perfect atonement for our yuck, our sin.
Hallelujah! That’s a done deal! NOTHING can or will EVER separate us from the love of God through Jesus Christ, my Lord.
