As it turned out, God was with Joseph and things went very well with him. He ended up living in the home of his Egyptian master. His master recognized that God was with him, saw that God was working for good
in everything he did.
Genesis 39:2-3 MSG
God is always working everything for our good and His glory. Everything.
Just like in the life of Joseph.
Does that mean Joseph led an easy life? By all means, no. Let’s recall how his brothers plotted to kill him, as he was daddy’s favorite, but instead sold him into slavery. He lived as a slave for many years, but “God worked everything for good in everything he did.”
It doesn’t say that everything that happened to Joseph was good. He
went through horrific temptations and trials. But through it all, God
was with Joseph.
And it’s the same with me. Through troubles and traps, if my eyes
are on Him and off my problems, I know He will use everything
for my good and His glory. That’s a promise from Romans 8:28,
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those
who love him.”
Just like Joseph continued to do his very best in any situation, I, too, desire to be the very best wife, mom, worker, sister, friend, and aunt…no matter what hardships come along.
And when my story is all said-and-done, this will be the report: “As it turned out, God was with Margo and things went very well with her.”
