“God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!
He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!”
Ephesians 3:20, 21 MSG
Do you believe God can do anything? If not, you’re having a crisis of belief.
He can do anything. He does do anything. He has done anything. He will do anything. The problem comes when you want Him to do “your thing” in “your timing” and in “your way”.
When you pray, when you ask Him to do _____(fill in the blank) He has thee best answer. Far more than you could ever imagine, guess or request in your wildest dreams.
Can He do anything? Oh yes! He is God. So if His ”anything” doesn’t match “your thing” does that mean He hasn’t answered or doesn’t care?
Far from it! He has thee best answer, as He sees around corners before you’re even there. He is answering you in a way that is always for your good and His glory. Always in His timing. Always His best way. So that you can see His fingerprints all over your circumstance and burst out in grateful praise.
And He does it by working within us. Not shoving us this way or that. Not pushing us over a cliff. Not ramming us through a doorway. No. He speaks to us, deeply and gently, telling us, “This is the way to go. Now walk in it.”
Even when the walk looks scary? Yep. He already knows the way. All you need to do is hold onto His hand. Your Father won’t take you anywhere that He can’t protect you.
He wants to show you His glory…His fingerprints…all over your situation. He has His absolute best for you right now…and will do exceedingly, abundantly more than you could ask, think or imagine.
Yours is to trust. Yours is to listen and respond to His Spirit gently leading the way. Then you’ll be able to see your circumstances through His eyes…and with a grateful voice, you’ll proclaim, “Glory to God! Through all my days. Down through all the generations! Through all of eternity. Glory to God!”
