Don’t you see, you planned evil against me (Joseph) but Godused those same plans for my good, as you see all around you right now—life for many people.
Genesis 50:20 MSG
No matter what evil comes against me, God can use those same plans for my good. Really?? Yep…only God can do that.
In my finite mind, this thinking just doesn’t make sense, but God’s infinite mind and ways are so much higher. That’s where faith comes in. Do I want to trust Him and walk on water…or go back to only what I see? Trusting the “seen” can be the pits, but trusting the Unseen always comes with benefits!
What Joseph’s brothers meant for evil…God intended for good! For the saving of many! Then Joseph, full of mercy, speaks to his wayward brothers, in vs 21, “Easy now, you have nothing to fear; I’ll take care of you and your children.” He reassured them, speaking with them heart-to-heart.
May I always, like Joseph, return good for evil knowing that God, somehow, someway, will use those evil plans against me for my good. I don’t understand, but I don’t need to.
But God does!
